Subject: heard you on ripkin, here’s a rant

Hi,

Rogers Video once tried to charge me an arm and a leg for a video I returned late. They claimed they had called my house several times, but this was not so. I have caller ID. I check my messages. I thought I had returned the video.

Well, they INSISTED they called their "overdue list" every night. As it turns out, I knew an employee that worked there who told me they NEVER call the "overdue list" and cleared my account for me. *knock on wood*

I DO NOT rent from Rogers or use their services for ANYTHING and never will.

Also, I'm going to link your site to my webpage.

J.M., ROGERS is fantastic when it comes to lying and denying. That should really be their motto. I could go on about it all day…instead let’s discuss you’re obsession with MOJO Radio’s / Q107 Jessica Baker. Toronto’s 640AM & Q107.1FM employ the hottest traffic reporter ever and J.M. pays tribute at www.JessicaInTraffic.com and you can check out his other site www.GetYourOJ.com (Get Your Online Jargon)

Subject: Star Choice

Good Day,

Hi, I am Keith, I too am very tired of Rogers and have since changed to Star Choice.  My Cell phone provider was switched to Bell from Rogers AT&T. I am an authorized installer for Star Choice (that includes sales as well) as well as I have 10 years experience with Bell Canada in the telecommunications field.  If anyone wants help with high speed internet or Star Choice installation I am available.  Let me know if this is of interest to you and your web site.

Thank you,
Keith

You hear that people? Call Starchoice and ask for Keith, they probably only have 11 or 12 Keiths working there. Just kidding. Keith, I’ll tell you what — you tell Star Choice about me and I’ll tell the general public about you, sound fair? I don’t know if I can trust you completely though, seeing how your cell phone is through ROGERS, and we all know — I HATE ROGERS!

Subject: Service address change problem!

Is there a reason not to hate Rogers?  I recently moved from Richmond Hill to Bradford, so I wanted to move my service.  Also, because the service was slowing down so noticeably, I wanted to switch to hi-speed lite as well.  When I called to make these changes to my bill, I was told that it was $79.99 to downgrade the service and change address.  When I mentioned to the customer service moron that since Rogers was offering free installation right now, all I had to do was cancel and re-subscribe under my wife's name, she asked me to hold on, so that she could see what she could do for me.  To make it short, they waived most of the charges, and told me they could have a technician in the very next Monday morning to swap modems.

So along comes Monday, and the ever popular 8-11 window.  Well, I've taken the day off to help complete the move, so I drag my butt out of bed at 8am, and do some things around the house while waiting for Rogers to arrive.  Well, by 10:45, I haven't heard from them, and I happened to call in to work to check messages. There were three messages at my office.  The first message was the Rogers technician.  He was lost, and said that he couldn't find my place.  The second one was the technician claiming he was at my house, and I wasn't there.  The third one was Rogers telling me to call and re-schedule the appointment.  Upon going outside, there was even a notice under my door saying he had been there, and I wasn't.  Well, there are windows surrounding my door, and a loud doorbell that I couldn't help but hearing anywhere in the house.  How he managed to sneak up and leave the notice without me seeing him.  I am assuming he never knocked, and I know he never rang the doorbell.  I wonder if it was just so hot that he wanted to skip the call and go cool off somewhere else.

Now I have high speed lite, and it's as slow as any dial up connection I have ever had.

Another great example of ROGERS lying and denying. They are sooooooo good at this. After reading over Seabass’ rant I just wanted to bang my head against the wall. They tell you to stay home between some ridiculous time window and then they stiff you. Seabass, check out the alternatives and dump ROGERS. They don’t deserve your hard earned $$.

Dee-Anne, thank you for your support. ROGERS is not the only game in town and if you’re not happy, let them know by choosing their competition. And the fact that you let them know you hate ROGERS too has me filled with joy. I know that sounds kind of twisted, I’m actually a very loving person.

Subject: rogers rant

Do I hate rogers?  that seems to be a mute point.  It all started a few years ago when I decided to get rogers internet service.  It was down more times then it was working.  Whenever I had a problem and phoned them their answer was always that it was MY computer...never them.  Well after about the sixth time of the problem being MY computer I asked to speak to the supervisor.  Guess what the answer was....he was busy and they were the only one that could help me.  I did not take that lightly and told them that I would hang on until the supervisor was available.  After about a forty-five minute wait I got the supervisor and proceeded to blast him.  Needless to
say I got a few months free out of it.  But it doesn't end there.

I also use rogers for my cell phone and about 3 years ago I had my phone stolen in New York.  When I returned to Toronto I went to the Rogers store to get a new phone.  I was told that since I had been a customer for over 7 years I was entitled to an upgrade.  I didn't like any of the upgraded phones and told them I just wanted the same phone.  Well that was not going to happen.  If I wanted the same phone I would have to pay a fee.  So I cancelled my phone on the spot and re registered so that I could get the phone I wanted. Then after about six months the phone broke and when I went to get it fixed I was told that I would have to get a new phone.  i said fine ...but guess what ....I was not entitled to a new one for free because I had only been a customer for six months.  I had had it by then and at the store I called customer service and ranted until I got the new phone for nothing.

Think that's the end of the story...wrong.

I also have rogers cable and about six months ago one of my televisions was not geting the cable stations I was paying for.  So I called up rogers and guess what they said...it was probably my T.V.  It's never their problem because they don't know how to fix anything.  Of course it was not my
television.  The cable men had been working next door and cut my line by mistake.

I was so happy to find this site because I am at the point that I do not want anything to do with rogers...oh just got the mail and guess what ......rogers cable is going up again.  GET ME OUT OF HERE.

Jodi, I feel for you — I swear. My situation was similar. They take no responsibility for their idiot mistakes caused by their idiot installers & idiot technicians and their idiot supervisors are…are…are…IDIOTS. Their customer service sucks and it seems their standing policy is to just blame you for their errors. They are evil chattering monkeys and don’t deserve your business.
