I also hate rogers.

This is a cell phone issue.

I signed-up for a cell phone just prior to christmas last year.  The phone was primarily intended so that my work could reach me on weekends. I spend every weekend in winter at a ski chalet at Mansfield Ski Club north of Toronto; you have to enjoy winter, move south or just stop complaining.

Mansfield is well within the Roger's service-area map and right on Airport Road on the way to Collingwood. Needless to say I could not get reception at the chalet even though it is a tri-mode phone.  When I called tech support from home in Toronto they confirmed that the chalet was within their service area. They said that it was in the analog coverage area. They demanded that I call from the area of poor reception so they could verify that I could not get access. Great, call from the area where I don't get reception?

The next weekend I called from a Bell land line saying that the cell phone did not get reception. The Rogers' Service Representative could not access my cell phone and questioned whether I had it turned on. Thank you very much. She then suggested that the area could be experiencing an outage or weather interference.  I looked outside and the skies were clear. I suggested that she should know if there was a network outage. That did not make her very happy and transferred me to her supervisor.

The supervisor was just as concerned with customer service. She would not (or could not) tell me if there a network problem and suggested that I try the phone again later. I indicated that I was not willing to wait another week to resolve the problem.  She suggested that my issue was with the
retail outlet where I purchased the phone. I politely suggested that they should be honest about their coverage area and provide customers with black-out area maps.

I now have a Bell cell phone and their analog coverage works well the entire way from Toronto the Mansfield. Their customer service on the Solo prepaid plan is no-existant as well.

I can’t decide if you really hate ROGERS or if you just love Mansfield Ski Club and needed to place a commercial for them somewhere. I’ve never heard of Mansfield Ski Club but I do know however that ROGERS is full of know nothing employees whose sole purpose in life is to piss people off and I have received a number of complaints about what could be termed as ROGERS misleading advertising…so I’ll go with - you really do hate ROGERS.

My postmaster at, just the sort of company sds the rogers ca, just returned an email to a friend of my who works for rogers ca. with the kind of unfriendly sentence that they are an invalid recipient Does this allows me to have that T-Shirt. THEY ARE ALL THE SAME.
